Skye first attended the National Careers Service in November 2018, she was very anxious and a carer for a grandparent. She advised that she would like to become a paramedic but didn’t have any qualifications. We advised Skye that the best way to get to her goal would be through ‘The Learning Hub’ completing their Work Smart Course at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she would gain qualifications and experience of Health and Social Care.
Towards the end of her course Skye was offered a Health Care Assistant position within the Hospital and is now working towards becoming a qualified Paramedic working one day a week in Accident and Emergency. Skye is really happy in her new role and can’t thank the National Careers Service enough for their support.
